Hi Klaas,

The counter subdevices start at subdevice 2 now.  Actually, in your version 
they start at subdevice 1 but that was a bug (fixed in cvs).

I must have removed the check that produces that error from my local copy 
and not checked in the change.  I'll check tommorrow.
